A portion of the proceeds benefits local charities, which have in the past included The Red Pump Project, a national organization that raises awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls, and “Girls Rule!”, which seeks to “establish a safe environment for girls to ‘blend-out’ rather than to ‘blend-in’ as they discover the type of women they would like to become”. This year's event also featured music from local musical artists, including Shyce Mayne, Malone, and more, spun by Chicago's own DJ Jungle.
Love, DIA Couture and Fashion is a Chicago fashion design house that seeks to promote natural beauty and foster a fashion environment that embraces the diversity of women. Our goal is to provide a platform for the promotion of Chicago's independent designers, the beauty industry, and local retailers for all to showcase their talents and products. We will prove once again that Chicago Fashion is not just a novelty, it is a major force in this industry.
